the art of un-learning invites us to engage in deep introspection about the beliefs, values, and practices we espouse, and the quality of consciousness we bring to them
the art of un-learning is a labor of love
have you ever been through something SO hard you just knew whenever you got through the end of the tunnel, you’d spend the rest of your life making sure who ever else went through that same tunnel struggled just a little bit less on their journey?
welcome to my ‘hindsight’s 2020’ rearview mirror on the last six years of deliberate self-work.
in 2018, I had just graduated from business school, ready to set the world aflame with my desire for social impact. i was incredibly deliberate about the life i wanted to have 5 years post-graduation. made a vision wall and all. and promptly failed to consider how much *I* would need to change to realize any of that.
what I learned though, through a series of disruptive life events, countless hours of therapy and other healing modalities, is that life is a dance. of ups and downs, backs and forths, spins and redirects; and depending on how consciously we choose to be within these cycles in life we’re experiencing, we can, indeed, come to not only enjoy the ride but to, in fact, influence it directly.
so, here’s my most current labor of love. born of the most challenging thing i’ve ever experienced and gotten myself through, which also happens to be the thing i am most proud of in life. what started as a yoga practice to deepen my own personal philosophies on life and spirituality, grew into a book about the art of un-learning, expanded into an accompanying journal, planner, and a tribe for said un/learners.
it is my most sincere hope that this labor of love is useful for at least one other person. and if so, my mission is accomplished. hopefully, though, it will continue to help many others for as long as possible.
in the meantime, what i am most excited about the journey of putting this labor of love out into the world is the potential of finding a tribe of fellow sojourners aiming to do this thing called life consciously and deliberately.
xoxo,
